I remember talking to one of my friends a few years ago, and she said that she loved playing RPG games, but she could only play the turn-based ones because the more action-oriented games like Zelda required too much coordination from her that she just didn't have. When I asked her if she was playing the current Final Fantasy Series, she replied, "Oh... No. I have to play the old ones because they don't make RPGs anymore like they used to." If this sounds like you, than Aveyond 2 is the game for you!
One thing that we really like about Aveyond too (sorry for the terrible pun), is that the random battle occurrences have been eliminated entirely. Remember how you used to get down to your last potion, everyone in your party had less than a 100 hit points, and you were afraid to take one more step because you didn't know when you would get hit with the next random battle? You don't have to worry about that in Aveyond 2. Monsters walk around either at random or at you, and if you can be sneaky enough to skate by them without touching them, than there is no battle for you!
The only downside to the battle system is that you can't escape from it, so if you do happen to get nabbed by a baddie, you'll have to fight it out until they're over, or you are...
Aveyond 2 will keep you busy with various side quests and plenty of optional tasks as well. To find and do everything will probably take 40 hours or more, even for more experienced RPGers, making this game well worth the price. There are plenty of character interactions and silly lines to keep you entertained throughout the adventure, making this game sure to please any old-school RPG gamer.
